R.I.P. Ted Kennedy
August 27, 2009 – 11:16 pm | by admin
Massachusetts Senator Edward "Ted" Kennedy (D) has passed away from complications from cancer while still in office. NPR and other outlets are practically worshiping him on the airwaves right now with constant stories of all these wonderful laws he passed and health insurance reform for Massechusetts (statewide universal care). But there are few facts that I think people need to remember about this man.
Ted Kennedy left someone for dead, then proceeded to lie about it and cover it up.
Ted Kennedy opposed semi-free market health care reform in favor of single payer during the Nixon administration. These battles for control of business and industry have been carried on for decades.
It’s sad he died. Cancer is a terrible thing. But let’s keep the sympathy for career politicians to a minimum. It only makes us accept the bad elements of the state even more. I’m sure he meant well in his oligarichial reign of 4 plus decades thus proving that unseating an incumbent is next to impossible especially if your last name is Kennedy.

Ted Kennedy, for better or worse, he spent half a decade as a servant to the people who elected him. Here is a great list of his most prominent quotes.
